BACKGROUND

I was born and raised in the Bay Area, growing up in Richmond and currently residing in Albany. I have drawn for as long as I can remember. Some of my fondest memories growing up were waiting for my dad to bring scrap paper home from work so I could pour through them, creating small comic books and magazines.

My love of art has been a constant throughout my life. I attended the Academy of Art College (now University), in San Francisco, majoring in graphic design. I do design work as part of my job, but love to continue creating on my own time. I enjoy mixing simplicity and complexity within a drawing. My work incorporates many sources of inspiration - nature, music, art, and my Hispanic background. I love strong graphic lines and vibrant colors, and have been exploring series concepts. I have a series based on the four seasons, as well as a zodiac collection.

Pearl Jam offered a contest to their fans to create a shirt design inspired by their first album, "Ten", in honor of its re-release. I submitted my work and learned that I was the winner! It is such a tremendous honor. Read more here at my blog.
